Author Links
Primary teachers read to their students everyday.  The value of reading aloud to children is critical in their literacy learning.  Not only do students have the opportunity to hear fluent reading with expression and intonation, but a whole new world becomes available to them.   Books that they would otherwise not be able to enjoy come to life.  Not only do students hear stories, but they take part in activities that extend or enrich the meaning of the story.

The internet has become a valuable tool for educators.  Many authors have web sites that can be utilized by teachers.  Other links  are useful due to detailed suggestions of book extensions. The links below are handy when researching an author or illustrator.
